HPRN
High Plains Research Network
The High Plains Research Network (HPRN) is a geographically-based
network of primary care practices, hospitals,
and communities in the 16 counties of eastern Colorado. HPRN also
works with public health offices, nursing homes, and hospice units
throughout the region.
HPRN is committed to providing excellent rural health care by translating
the best scientific evidence into everyday clinical practice. HPRN strives
to promote a positive attitude towards health and community awareness in
rural and frontier eastern Colorado.
Founded in 1997, HPRN has conducted practice and community-based
studies and programs on a grange of health topics, including heart
attack triage and transport, patient safety, patient home management of
hypertension, underinsurance, colon cancer prevention, palliative care, and
asthma.
HPRN is a member of SNOCAP.
