Research in Family Medicine
Department of Family Medicine Researchers study issues related to primary
health care, such as health care quality and effective translation of research
findings into practice. Read more about our funded studies.
Practice-based Research
We support several practice-based research networks (PBRNs), including
CaReNet, HPRN, and BIGHORN and an
umbrella organization, SNOCAP. CaReNet's research focuses
on issues relevant to underserved and minority populations. High Plains examines
rural health care in Colorado. SNOCAP facilitates collaboration among PBRNs,
shares resources, and coordinates communication. We even have an endowed
chair in practice-based research.
Evaluation
Our evaluation group, which includes biostatisticians,
technical communicators, and qualitative and quantitative researchers, is available
to conduct evaluations of non-profit and governmental projects.
Collaboration
Not only do we work with a number of funders to
increase research capacity, we have dedicated time and funds
to building an interdisciplinary primary care research unit.
