In 1982, Dr. Levitt endowed the Department of Family Medicine with a generous gift enabling us to invite
distinguished speakers to the campus. The Levitt Distinguished Speaker Series
is a set of lectures that bring the nation's and the world's most
distinguished people in areas of importance to primary care. Please join us.
Upcoming Speakers:
- Dr. Arthur Kaufman, who is the
Vice-President of Community Health at the University of
New Mexico, will visit July 22nd to talk about
"The Role
of Academic Health Centers in the Health of our
Communities."
- Dr. Don Iverson will be here September
30th to talk about "A Comparison of 4 Countries' Health
Care Systems and the Role of Primary Care Therein." Don
is the Executive Dean and principal architect of an
innovative curriculum at the University of Wollongong's
School of Health and Behavioural Sciences.
